WoW: Achievement Tips

Posted on 24th February 2010 in Sanguinius Blood Angels

The World of Warcraft team has put together a spiffy page for achievement hunters. The best tips and hints are offered to speed things along for players. Check it out:
This page provides tips on how to become a pro at completing achievements. If you’re unfamiliar with the achievement system and want to learn the basics, check out the achievements preview and the achievements FAQ.

The default hotkey to view your achievements window is “Y.” If you want to compare another character’s achievements to your character’s, right-click the other character and select Compare Achievements.
Let us know if we missed anything! If you have additional tips that aren’t covered here, you may submit them via the button at the bottom of the page.
What do you get for completing achievements? Bragging rights, and that’s just the beginning! Completing certain achievements will reward you with special titles or items like pets, tabards, and mounts. Check the details in your achievements window to see which achievements include special rewards. If an achievement has a reward, it will be listed at the bottom of that achievement.
General Tips
Although most achievements can be earned simply by playing the game, certain achievements will require you to go out of your way to complete them. If you’re going after a particularly high achievement score, there are two routes you can take: you can complete a lot of easy achievements that don’t yield that many points, or you can focus on complex achievements that are worth a lot more points. Money is sometimes a factor in completing achievements, so be prepared to spend some gold. For example, the achievement “My Sack is ‘Gigantique’” requires you to buy a large (and expensive!) bag from Haris Pilton.
There are lots more tips and hints at the link above so don’t waste another minute!

The Guardians of Tirisfal

Posted on 22nd February 2010 in runescape news

2,700 years before Warcraft I With the absence of trolls in the northlands, the elves of Quel’Thalas bent their efforts towards rebuilding their glorious homeland. The victorious armies of Arathor returned home to southlands of Strom. The human society of Arathor grew and prospered, yet Thoradin, fearful that his kingdom would splinter apart if it overextended itself, maintained that Strom was the center of the Arathorian empire. After many peaceful years of growth and commerce, mighty Thoradin died of old age, leaving Arathor’s younger generation free to expand the empire beyond the lands of Strom. The original hundred magi, who were tutored in the ways of magic by the elves, expanded their powers and studied the mystic disciplines of spell-weaving in much greater detail. These magi, initially chosen for their strong wills and noble spirits, had always practiced their magic with care and responsibility; however, they passed their secrets and powers onto a newer generation that had no concept of the rigors of war or the necessity for self-restraint. These younger magicians began to practice magic for personal gain rather than out of any responsibility towards their fellows. As the empire grew and expanded into new lands, the young magicians also spread out into the southlands. Wielding their mystical powers, the magicians protected their brethren from the wild creatures of the land and made it possible for new city-states to be constructed in the wilderness. Yet, as their powers grew, the magicians became ever more conceited and isolated from the rest of society. The second Arathorian city-state of Dalaran was founded in the lands north of Strom. Many fledgling wizards left the restraining confines of Strom behind and traveled to Dalaran, where they hoped to use their new powers with greater freedom. These magicians used their skills to build up the enchanted spires of Dalaran and reveled in the pursuit of their studies. The citizens of Dalaran tolerated the magicians’ endeavors and built up a bustling economy under the protection of their magic-using defenders. Yet, as more and more magicians practiced their arts, the fabric of reality around Dalaran began to weaken and tear. The sinister agents of the Burning Legion, who had been banished when the Well of Eternity collapsed, were lured back into the world by the heedless spellcasting of the magicians of Dalaran. Though these relatively weak demons did not appear in force, they did sow considerable confusion and chaos within the streets of Dalaran. Most of these demonic encounters were isolated events, and the ruling Magocrats did what they could to keep such events hidden from the public. The most powerful magicians were sent to capture the elusive demons, but they often found themselves hopelessly outmatched by the lone agents of the mighty Legion. After a few months the superstitious peasantry began to suspect that their sorcerous rulers were hiding something terrible from them. Rumors of revolution began to sweep through the streets of Dalaran as the paranoid citizenry questioned the motives and practices of the magicians they had once admired. The Magocrats, fearing that the peasants would revolt and that Strom would take action against them, turned to the only group they felt would understand their particular problem: the elves. Upon hearing the Magocrats’ news of demonic activity in Dalaran, the elves quickly dispatched their mightiest wizards to the human lands. The elven wizards studied the energy currents in Dalaran and made detailed reports of all demonic activity that they beheld. They concluded that although there were only a few demons loose in the world, the Legion itself would remain a dire threat so long as humans continued to wield the forces of magic. The Council of Silvermoon, which ruled over the elves of Quel’Thalas, entered into a secret pact with the Magocrat lords of Dalaran. The elves told the Magocrats about the history of ancient Kalimdor and of the Burning Legion, a history which still threatened the world. They informed the humans that so long as they used magic, they would need to protect their citizenry from the malicious agents of the Legion. The Magocrats proposed the notion of empowering a single mortal champion who would utilize their collective powers in order to fight a never-ending secret war against the Legion. It was stressed that the majority of mankind could never know about the Guardians or the threat of the Legion for fear that they would riot in fear and paranoia. The elves agreed to the proposal and founded a secret society that would watch over the selection of the Guardian and help to stem the rise of chaos in the world. The society held its secret meetings in the shadowed Tirisfal Glades, where the high elves had first settled in Lordaeron. Thus, they named the secret sect the Guardians of Tirisfal. The mortal champions who were chosen to be Guardians were imbued with incredible powers of both elven and human magic. Though there would only ever be one Guardian at a time, they held such vast power that they could single-handedly fight back the Legion’s agents wherever they were found in the world. The Guardian power was so great that only the Council of Tirisfal was allowed to choose potential successors to the mantle of Guardianship. Whenever a Guardian grew too old, or wearied of the secret war against chaos, the Council chose a new champion, and under controlled conditions, formally channeled the Guardian power into its new agent. As the generations passed, Guardians defended the masses of humanity from the invisible threat of the Burning Legion throughout the lands of Arathor and Quel’Thalas. Arathor grew and prospered while the use of magic spread throughout the empire. Meanwhile, the Guardians kept careful watch for signs of demonic activity.

it the pair S1 swords or duel mongoose

Posted on 20th February 2010 in wow gold buy

Thanks for your input.

Is it the pair S1 swords or duel mongoose then? My energy regen is most definately better than before there ar no long pauses waiting for energy like I had with the fists even the S1 off hand fist.
If your hit rating has gone up it’s probably that.
A personal note on fists: As I was running BGs for the s1 weapons I happened to snag a 71dps fist during one of my many, many runs after an assassination pie. So I figured I’d try it out for a bit while I was working on the honor points to upgrade my swords. After testing both pairs of weapons (with a resp between) I noted virtually no differee in my personal net DPS. I wasareful in myomparison (same dps on eh pair of weapons, same number and type of mobs) and was pretty surprised. Apart from the loss of dps in pvp due to therit-gimp, they were both about the same in tual output. When I had my honor I dided to go fists more for aesthet reasons really. I’ve never seen another rogue of any other sp or weapon do all that mh better in the damage meters after a run or raid. And to be honest, seeing a few morerits is just, well, ool. I fully realize that at some point (I’m guessing around t4 raiding) I will probably have to sp bk to swords for the more even threat generation (a string of heavyritsan make your tank upset). But for the time being, I like my fists and even if the spreadsheets say that the total potential damage is slightly lower, I’ve seen no prtal differee. Just my two pennies.

Are You Looking For The Cheap Car Finance…?

Posted on 11th February 2010 in aion pc game

When it comes down to buying a car then you need to do something just to keep your options open. Let us look at it this way, if you are requiring a car loan then your credit history should be evaluated and at that point you will know how much you can take as a loan.
If your credit line was bad then you can't get a large loan and this means that you have to choose between a smaller numbers of cars. However, if you took certain precautions towards your credit instantly then when you decide to buy a new car you will find yourself in a good position to get the car finance you want.
The first thing you need to do is to keep your credit balance in shape, you need to pay your dues in time, if you are late for paying this then it will be written in your report and this will affect your chances when you go for a loan.
If there is any dispute of any kind about your payment then you need to settle it down at least a month or two before you think of applying for a loan as this will reduce your chances majorly.

It is very useful if you went for a car loan approval just before you hit the show room as this will make you in a better position when you negotiate with your agent for many reasons; let me name some of them. The first reason you are showing commitment, this means that you are ready to buy and in the sales field this is called a pre – closed deal as the client is half – way already. All you have to do, as an agent, is to convince him with your merchandise.
The second reason is that you are showing that you have the ability to buy, and this is also a good incentive for the agent to give you the best price as he knows that you have the capabilities and the money to buy the car. Another reason is that you are putting yourself in the comfort zone, and you will save yourself hundreds of presentations that are away over your budget and let the agent concentrate on the cars within the budget only.
When you are buying a car, the credit history is your back bone. If it is good then you will be able to choose but if it is bad and contains lots and lots of reports then probably you will have to accept any car that you can afford and you can kiss your dream car good bye as you won't be able to get it unless you work hard on your credit.

desktop wallpapers

Posted on 10th February 2010 in aion pc game

personalize your desktop with official Warcraft III wallpapers! Each wallpaper is available in 3 or more different sizes and two different color depths in bitmap (BMP) format and compressed for the shortest download times. o install, just download the image with the size and color settings to match your computer’s desktop. You will need to decompress the file using a program that can handle ZIP files (like WinZip) and extract the BMP file into your Windows directory. Once this is complete, right-click in your desktop and select the Properties option and switch to the Background tab. Double-click on the BMP file and Apply the change.

How to avoid automatic subscription renewal
As most of us know, WoW credit card subscription plans in the US and Europe are auto-renewing. If I sign up for one month at $14.99, as soon as that month is up, Blizzard immediately re-bills my credit card and signs me up for another month. This is problematic for some people, who may want to switch to a game card at the end of the month, or who simply might not want their cards to be automatically billed.
Fortunately, there’s an easy solution: cancel your account. Yep, just push that big red button (well, actually, it’s a smallish grey button, but you get the idea). You’ll still get to play until the time you’ve paid for runs out. And since Blizzard retains your character and account info indefinitely, you don’t have to worry about your characters getting deleted. At the end of the time you’ve paid for, when you try to log in, you’ll get a notice that your pre-paid time has been used up, at which point you can go on the web site and add whatever payment method you like.
I’ve used this method many times myself. It’s only a few extra clicks, and if you want to have more control over how you get billed, it’s definitely worth considering, even if it does make the peons cry.

out with the Felsteel pants and then theoT rep

Posted on 8th February 2010 in wow gold buy

olariman wrote:Yeah most tanks would start out with the Felsteel pants and then theoT rep pants oe they are able to get them. After that eitherurator drop or Badge pants. my badge pants are very, very ne ^^
OMFG lol the keepers of time pants are the easiest thing in the world to get. Here’s a list ofoT quests: Hero of the Brood (Blk Morass quest) – 8000 rep Return to Andormu (Durnholde quest) – 3000 rep Eape from Durnholde (Durnholde quest) – 1000 rep Taretha’s Diversion (Durnholde quest) – 1000 rep Opening the Dark Portal (Blk Morass quest) – 500 rep The Blk Morass (Blk Morass quest) – 250 rep Theaverns of Time (Introdtory quest) – 250 rep Total is 14,000 rep (15,400 for human)! It’s only 21,000 to get to Revered. So in two runs (one Durn and one BM) you’re 70% of the way to revered. And the above doesn’t even ftor in that you’ll get around 700-1000 rep from killing the mobs on eh run. I did BM like twe and Durn about 3-4 times and I got my Timewarden’s Leggings. Would have been mh faster if I were a human.
Yeah he’s wrong. There are MH better tanking pants before heros and Kara.
Hey all, I’ve yet to be part of a ten-man, neither have majority of the team that our guild is taking into Kara next week. I’m unsure on how to arrange the groups in order to get the best bang for our bk, buff-wise. Say for example we’re taking: 2 prot warriors 2 holy priests 1 holy palli 1 e Mage 2 hunters (no idea on sp) 2 random dps (pug’ing them) Is there a standard rule for how to arrange your 2 groups? Any help would be appriated. Thanks ! Link to this 3 replies Jan 16th 2008 9:16am Edited: Jan 16th 2008 9:16am : Logged Reply to this thegreatmothraSage518 Good

tanking and Fury DPSing for my guilds raiding

Posted on 6th February 2010 in aion pc game

Hey all, I’murrently fl flopping between tanking and Fury DPSing for my guilds raiding needs. We just quired a few DPS’ers so bank to tanking for the time being. saying that i pked up a newhest plate “FINALLY” getting rid of that damn Aldor exalted tankinghest (I’ve had really bad lk repling that bad boy.) I’ve always ehanted +150 health on my tankinghest plates. I never even thought about it, i just slapped it on there. Just trolling around in the trade skills stion this morning, does anyone think that the +6 all stats (Ehanthest – Eeptional Stats) or the +150 HP Ehant is the betterhoe? +6 all stats seems worth it, but i think i’m missing some minor point that makes +150 HP the betterhoe. Thanks. Edit for poor speeeeeling. :P
For progression raiding, stamina > everything. Sie you just repled your aldor tankinghestpie, Ian only assume that you’re still progressing. It’s not like you just got ahestguard of the Warlord or something. My guess is maybe you got a Jade-Skull Breastplate, or possibly Panzar’Thar orhestguard of the Sto Guardian. If ALL you’re doing is Karazhan, and you’re not doing anything in ZA, S, TK, then +6 all stats -might- be ok. I say might bause I still don’t see the log all that mh. 60 health and a miniule amount of dodge is not really that great for tanking. Truth be told though, Ian’t imagine ever ehanting myhest with anything other than +150 health. Link to this Apr 7th 2008 12:47pm : Logged Reply to this SHEDriholar478 Dent

based warrior I had more armor value

Posted on 4th February 2010 in wow gold buy

Iompared with another lv70 PvE based warrior. I had more armor value than he does; heoentrated on +Defense Value than +Armor Value. Isn’t armor value more important than defense rating sie you take less damage?rit is onlyomes inhaes. Many good PvE defense rating gears seem to have less Armor Value than other ep gears.
Might be an idea to read the stky

Maybe bause it’s 8:45 in the a.m. that I don’t fully understand this question, or it’s that there’s information left out…. When you say heoentrates on more +Defense stuff Is heapped for uritable yet? If not, to be honest I’d fus on +defense stuff also. Bossesrittingan we parties lol. Armory links, Namesserver, e would help us figure out what you’re getting at. What’s the +defap again… 490? Somewhere around there (been a while sie I fused on tanking gear, hanged to 2H MS). On that note, what’s your Def rating at? Maybe you should fus on getting some too lol. Eess +defense is not horrible, it does help parrydodge rating by like .02 eh, but after urittable, gemming and ehants would be better used on stamdodgeparry.
Gemming is always better fused on Stamina unless you are fusing onontent where you know you need oran live with trading efftive health for stamina. Oe defense isapped, Dodge is slightly better than defense. Defense is always, point for point, better than parry.
