Hows I lookin? Can I heal the coilfangs yet?

Posted on 30th March 2010 in aion pc game

Your bonus healing is pretty good for you level. Getting to 64 and lifebloom will change your healing drastically but until you get to it, the best way I found to do it as I leveled was this:
Throw a rejuv on the tank before he pulls. Emphasis on before. When he pulls the healing will count against him as aggro and not you. You have to do this before he shoots, face pulls, charges the mob.
By the point you should know how much your regrowths are typically healing for and you can go ahead and start casting one when the tank has taken about half that in damage. That way when it does hit 2 seconds later you’re not overhealing and at that point he’ll have the HoT from the regrowth and the HoT from the rejuv on him.
I did that pretty much exactly that way from the 30′s in SM till the 60′s in Hellfire and Zangar.
Just wait till lifebloom :P You’ll throw a 3 stack and a rejuv on the tank and /dance 3/4′s of the time.-Galenmoon – 80 Feral Drood
Gavinitis – 80 Shammy
“OH SHlT SON ArexYour +healing looks like more than enough to heal either of those instances. I’d suggest try to keep rejuvenation up 100 of the time, if he falls a little fast use a regrowth + swiftmend (both can crit so it can add up to alot).
Also make a Healing Touch + Nature’s Swiftness macro. Being able to land a full HT instantly can be the difference between downing that boss or running back to your corpse.
You should be doing just fine, might just be a little practice needed. If you keep struggling it might be time to turn the eye on the tank and see if he’s adequately I’m just curious if I should dump some stuff or pick up an item I may have missed. I actually had a pretty rough time doing Blood furnace with just a bit lower +healing. I don’t have the bloom yet and my ticks seem to be a bit slow. Usually I drop tree form and have to bust out the healing touches and that frustrates me.

Moonkin 70 and 80 tree

Posted on 29th March 2010 in lord of the rings online gold guide

I am pretty well stuck in the same position since my realm is still offline as well. Logged on to consider the exact same thing as I wanted to plan my impending re-spec and although I like this suggested build I will probably sacrifice the one extra Balance Point in to Resto to fill in Omen of Clarity. With the new changes I just cant let it get too far away from me, especially since I just got it again at 67 after a full Balance respec at 60. I love Natures Reach so I may swap it for Advanced moonfire as well since it gives me spell reach + Sublety effect = to 3 points in the resto tree. Intensity for sure as it is amazing with the Dreamstate combination.
Looks like I am going to start stacking more Spirit with my Intelligence…
This is my plan for 70 now.

troubles heroic violet hold

Posted on 26th March 2010 in Sanguinius Blood Angels

Honestly, tanking in H VH is about making sure everyone knows their priorities. You can’t really mark them because of time, but just set out a pre-emptive kill order. I do the mage type first, because they frequently drop aggro anyway to do that channelled spell, are annoying with the knockback spell, and if a DPS does steal aggro, they’re just gonna eat mostly magic damage. The rogue types, stalker I think, should go down next simply becase of their annoying teleport ability. Third type, can’t remember name, hunters maybe? And lastly, the captains. Everytime I’ve seen tank trouble or had it myself it’s because some moron decides to solo the captain and then get’s a spear or seven in the face. It’s to the point where I always ask if people know the bosses and I always set up the kill order before hand. Really though, this in general should be common knowledge for most DPS for unmarkable mobs take priority over basic warrior types). Or are you having just general problems with AOEers? The portals all ways spawn the same mobs.
On the ones that spawn the packs I stay around 20 feet back from the portal, hit one withh FFF and then Demo Roar, followed by a Swipe based rotation. Usually grabs all of the easily. Watch out though one of them likes to shadow step behind you. When they do that I just back up or pivot to ensure Swipe and Maul will still hit them all.
The ones with a guardian of some kind I run up on the portal before they spawn. I try and stay about 5 feet off the portal at roughly a 45 degree angle. I use a more Mangle based rotation but still lean heavily on Swipe. I usually don’t realize I have the extra mobs until the big guy dies. If one starts to make a break for it I will target and FFF or taunt as needed. These little buggers are non-elite so don’t usually sweat it that much as they don’t hit that hard and are easy for the DPS to nuke down.
Hope that helps.-Day light savings is for fools.
hello ,
i just tanked a part of this instance. Got a problem holding agro against multiple trashmobs there always slips one through [:glare:] . If the agroed one would run to me ,I wouldn’t mind but even after telling them a hunderd times they still keep running to the other side complaining that I don’t keep problems with warlocks and pyromancing mages [:oyvey:]

I Need Honor! QQ

Get geared.
I use my 2nd spec for PvP and it works fine. Imp Mangle over SA would be better as you Mangle more in PvP. BI is important. NI is helpful for making instant heals better but I usually CC with instants. -Day light savings is for fools.
OK, so I’ve been out for…. too long and I need to get some gear so that my lonly druid can get back into raids. my armory is in my sig and should (read, should) be in bear or kitty gear with bear spec.
I’ve tried to go PvP heals but I suck.
That is all there is I can’t keep myself alive to keep anyone else alive to get any real honor.
So that leaves me looking for a new spec. I’d rather not go boomkin since I have a feral heart (I really do lol) boomkin just doesn’t feel right. So are there any good PvP feral builds? If I must then I will go Boom for my offspec till I get my feral gear so that I can get back into the raiding game.-sloniah lvl 80 Feral Druid

Tiny Tank Tips?

Posted on 24th March 2010 in Sanguinius Blood Angels

Spam Maul and Swipe while tabbing around.
Demo Roar after you have all the mobs to reduce incoming damage.
Keep FFF on cooldown. It does a lot of threat.
Growl if you lose aggro.
Pulling with FFF is always good idea. Feral Charge is more fun if you have the room and wont pull extra mobs. FC also works to get to a mob but Growl will bring it to you.
Challenging Roar is a fake taunt. Stuff will start attacking you but it doesn’t change a mobs aggro table at all. It only gives you a few seconds to regain control over the mobs.-Day light savings is for fools.
Turning again to the collective wisdom of the Druid community…
I had taken a 3 month break from Wow, but after reading about the new LFG tool decided I would give it another go and level my Druid as a tank/healer dual spec (at level 43 right now). I’m very excited about seeing some of the older instances and actually getting to group at this level, but I’m having a little tanking performance anxiety. Most of the guides and posts address higher level Druid tanking, so I wondered if any of you had some advice for my level range? I’m geared, glyphed and specc’ed appropriately for the 40′s (I hope :-) ), but have been thinking about what sort of abilities I should use…
My completely uneducated guess was to pull with FFF and then spam swipe, and use challenging roar in an emergency. If the healer pulls a single mob, feral charge…but am I missing anything? I wasn’t sure how useful growl would be as I’ve never had to use it soloing :-) If any of you can remember what it was like to tank pre-mangle, I’d sure love some suggestions!
Thanks in advance…

level 10 quest

Posted on 20th March 2010 in lord of the rings online gold guide

Quote:You can keep the third one you are told to go tame or you can abandon him and tame one of the first ones you tamed.
Actually, you can??. The three pets tamed during the quest are not truly tamed. They are only with you for, I believe, fifteen minutes. At the end of that time they simply fade away. I??e used them for questing just for the fun of it. It works well as long as you aren?? fighting the big boss when the timer is up. A couple of other interesting things about these pets is that one they don?? shrink when the rod tames them and two they retain any wild skills they might have, ones we as hunters have no access to.
After you tame these three pets the NPC will send you to the pet trainer in your capital city. Be sure to do this second half of the quest. The pet trainer will teach you more skills, such as how to feed your pet and how to bring it back from the dead.
-”Too many requests! Slow down!” Yes, thank you, I should take the time to savor the experience of purchasing 37 chicken eggs.
Calabar (50 Hunter) – Farli (27 Minstrel) – Raedan (21 Champion) – Lyndian (23 Guardian) – Bannik (21 Lore-Master)You cannot keep all three. Each of them you need to abandon in order to tame the next. Meaning the first two will be abandoned in order to tame the next. You can keep the third one you are told to go tame or you can abandon him and tame one of the first ones you tamed. Or you can go and tame any creature at your level or below that is tameable to be your pet. Remember you will need to purchase one stable slot to put that pet away from time to time to tame things to teach that pet new skills such as claw, bite, gouge, charge… and such.
Good luck with your 70 feral druid
“Why a female toon Nature!!!! not Father pets trained in the process of the quest are relinquished upon completion of each leg of the quest. After the series of quests has been finished, you gain the ability to tame pets “4 realzorz”.

Lvl 44 and no where to go

Posted on 18th March 2010 in lord of the rings online gold guide

Horde seems to have more and better quests in the mid-40s – come on Bliz, throw Allies a little lovin’ here!
You may wanna “Google Jame’s Alliance leveling guide” for ideas, too. It’s free. If this is your first toon you may not want to follow it. For me it’s funner to level to 60 (er 70) w/out such help the first time. But the guide, if you’re stuck, might help unstick you. It gives “cake recipe” formulas for fast leveling. If you haven’t been using it you have to sort of figure out where you fit in.
It does work in that it gives you concentrated doses of questing and grinding together – without much time-wasting – i.e. at lvl 30 he’ll tell you to get x, y and z from the AH in the main city – then many levels later you come across quest-givers who want x, y and z – and bam, you turn it in on the spot. He also has a good feel for which quests are total wastes of time in terms of fast and efficient leveling.
BUT it’s a cake recipe – a formula. Many people don’t like it, and I don’t blame them! But again, if you’re stuck, it might be worth a look. you been to Tanaris, Dustwallow, Feralas, Azshera? While it may not seem like it while you’re in it, there IS life after STV! Huzzah!
(psst – click here for more lvl/zone info)

Tan will have a bunch of lvl 42+ quests and Feralas has about 45 + should keep you going till about 49 at which point you go Ungoro / Felwood / WPL. then at 55 go WS / Silith / EPL. When you hit 59 60 start on BC.-Level 70 Hunter – Khaz’goroth (Main)
Level 70 Priest – Khaz’goroth
Plus mutliple alts for when I get bored.I am currently lvl 44 NE hunter but have come to a stand still. I am in STV, should I keep trying to lvl there or is there a better place for a hunter to quest and grind?
Any place at that lvl with good hunter drops and quest rewards?

The Soloing Hunter

Posted on 15th March 2010 in runescape news

The three soloing classes are warlock, hunter, and paladin. The hunter is best against higher-level mobs (we’re talking taking out a 58 elite with a 51, or a 52 with a 35), where the paladin is best at taking on multiple mobs (I’ve handled 7 yellow mobs on mine). If you are good at getting a small amount of enemies by themself, I’d go hunter. If not, maybe paladin (after 40 is when they really shine).
As for professions, herb/alch is good, but you probably should go with 2 gathering professions. I didn’t on my first toon and I was broke unless I spent hours farming. On my new server I went with mining/skinning and my level 12 hunter has over 15g already. I would recommend skinning (as it doesn’t use a tracking) and This goes for whatever class you choose.
As far as enjoying soloing? I’ve gotten a hunter to 54 without ever grouping. So yes they can solo. However, you need to group a bit in order to learn your role. Hunter’s roles are severely limited, and you may be even more limited depending on the group.
A paladin, however, has a very clear group role, but you’ll need to learn to tank and heal to do those. Not knowing your playstyle, as of right now I’d recomend either. They’re both fun, interesting, and soloable.-comma long-slash comma comma asterick underscore asterick comma comma long-slash commaSorry …forgot to ask if you can get into Instances and battlegrounds solo and are they doable if you have progressed to a safe enough level to survive them or would the rewards be to far below an optimum use level?
Thanks again!!Hello Hunters,
I hope this is not a question that has been beat to death previously
I’m new to WoW and have arrived here after 5 on and off years in DaoC.I have tried out almost all the classes to lvl 15-20 to just get a rough feel for their gameplay and I think I will be choosing a Hunter.
My question to those that would care to share an opinion is this…
I’m picking a Hunter because they seem fun and interesting and soloable (I have to solo more often than not due to recent RL changes).I will mainly be a PVE player and will take either or perhaps Herb/Alc.
My question is this…given the above limitations to can a Hunter still enjoy a career in WoW as a solo PVE’er and find lot’s of interesting content to satisfy his MMO addiction?
I just love the feel of MMO’s and want to continue playing one despite missing out on some of the core concept’s.
Thanks!

Can someone help me out with RangeHelp?

Posted on 12th March 2010 in aion pc game

If any Hunter uses RangeHelp, can you please explain to me how to set it up? My Hunter’s level 6 by the way, so if I have to wait till I have a certain ability in order to use it, then please just let me know… but currently, for all my target’s it just reads “Melee not set”… I want it to give me one actionbar for when my target is in bow/gun range, and then switch action bars for when it reaches melee range… I’ve set it up to do this a long long time ago, and it just doesn’t seem to work out like that this time around. New Crusade (It’s aethien’s so he can name it)

Okay, this idea has been posted by Aethian down somewhere in a post before, but idk if too many people saw it…so I figured I’d make a main post about it (and let Aethien name this particular crusade). Basically, you copy and paste this response into notepad, word, etc, and paste it back into any posts that apply. I think we should even spam it, not one person triple-posting, but if there’s like 4-5 people who all spam the same message, maybe people will be like “whoa, there’s a good message here, maybe I should try it.” The message is (I editted and added a tiny bit):
