question about "screech"

As has already been mentioned, definitely also get growl for your bird. Growl holds aggro on a single mob better than screech. Screech will hold multiple mobs, though is not too strong an aggro generator and can be overpowered if you use multi-shot or heal your pet too soon.
Screech’s best advantage is not breaking traps. This beats a gorilla’s thunderstomp or dragonhawk’s fire breath.
I’ll typically use screech if I’m running an instance with a real warrior. The debuff on the mobs he’s fighting helps keep his health up and thereby conserves the healer’s mana. I’ll leave growl off so as not to pull aggro off the warrior. However if one mob heads over to our mage, I’ll send my bird in pursuit, switch to growl and use intimidation to fasten aggro back on my pet. I can trap a second mob if it comes after the mage. If he pulls any more than that its his problem.

It will glue the Mobs to your pet until you heal over that aggro, or do enough AoE damage to them. -Friar Bijou wrote:ITT: NorthAI is a L?rd Kaolian wrote:We get some batsht insane people here on occasion.Always get growl, it’s free (no training points).
Screech does no where near as much aggro as growl, it’s normally enough to not pull adds if you throw on a mend pet though.
It normally takes 3 or 4 screech’s before you can multishot PASSENGER OF FOOT HEAVE IN SIGHT, TOOTLE THE HORN. TRUMPET HIM MELODIOUSLY AT FIRST, BUT IF HE STILL OBSTACLES YOUR PASSAGE THEN TOOTLE HIM WITH VIGOUR.”
